About

Marike de Meij (1975) is a photographer and medical doctor living and working in Amsterdam

She attended the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam

At the moment she studies photography at Studio 307 under supervision of Milan Gies, also in Amsterdam

In her work as a photographer, Marike explores the essence of humanity. Through a mix of black-and-white and colour photography, she creates an aesthetic world that focuses on contrast, both visually and emotionally. She sets the stage for stories of tenderness, strength, and fragility.
